6600k upgrade to 3900x or wait?

Hi Guys

Have been thinking about upgrading but not surer if I should. Am running 6600k at 4.3 16gig ram and gtx 1080.

Should I upgrade the cpu for a 3900x or wait until the new chips at the end of the year? Am looking something that will last me for the next 5 years. Am going to upgrade graphic when 3000 series comes out

Would be pairing the 3900x wioth x570 or b550 (If they ever come in stock)

Mostly playing cod and other games on the rig

I think most are holding out for the new ryzen chips which seem to still be on track for later this year. Probably better to wait until then unless you're in bad need of an upgrade.

Hold on a tad for the 3900XT to come out. It's a touch quicker for the same RRP, or perhaps there might be a useful price drop on the regular 3900X.

Or wait for the next generation, depends how bad the pocket's burning... But I'd say your current rig isn't quite a relic yet.
