im sure i remember reading somewhere that some of those 6600LE cards can be unlocked, cant remember where though sorry.
 
owell thanks tried rivatuner, really regreting buying this card was on the spot thing. Its no way near the same as my 9800pro

Aye, you need a 6600GT to best a 9800 Pro to be honest. The 6600 isn't great and the 6600LE is really pants.

If you bought it less than 7 or 12 days ago though, not sure which, then you're well within your rights to send it back for a refund with no questions asked under the distance selling act. ;)
 
yeah, might just do that. It really is pants £80 too. But needed a gfx card and it was there at the time.
 
Yeah didn't realise LE was that bad untill i plugged it in. CSS is terrible! Might take it back and get my money back for another card.
 
yeah mate tried it, doesn't seem much better. Getting about 20-30fps on css, not happy at all. Would the 6600 be much better? Taking it back asap.

I would send the 6600LE back for a refund under the distance selling act, TBH. You are not satisfied with your purchase, and that is a very valid reason in the eyes of the law for returning it.

You could look into buying second hand. You could get a fine 6600GT for the same price you paid for the 6600LE new, I imagine, and you wouldn't be disappointed with that at all. Plays Source and other games fantastically. :)
 
yeah going to take it back for a standard 6600, have to use gf card. So has to be from a shop really guessin 6600 would be much better than this. thanks
 
80 sheets you get a second hand 6600gt for that on auction easy, and then you'll see upgrade on the daddy 9800 pro you were running, hats of to the 9800 pro...
 
Never mind second hand check out the clearance section you should find a 6600gt or an X800 for that money brand new! Just looked and a 6600gt is £58 or an X800xt is £96, just sold mine and its an ace card it got 100+ on CCS stress test and was the equal of the 6800Ultra when released.
