I would pay the extra and get one with a decent cooler and 3 year warranty.

7950 msi twin frozr
7950 Gigabyte windforce x3

I have the 660ti msi and its really good but the 7950 is better value

I got 660 ti as Borderlands 2 came free with it, which i was going to buy anyway so to me i saved 30 quid on a gfx card. and i wasnt interested in overclocking GFX card either so i just wanted one out of box that i could slam in and boss games.

only way i would have seen a difference if i went for a 7950 is if i played a RAM intensive game like Skyrim (which i dont) as the 660ti 192 bit memory bus puts it at a disadvantage.

Either card you get will destroy any game released in the next couple of years (if not longer)

Only get the 7950 if you are prepared to over clock though :)

Indeed!

Out of the box, playing on an average resolution of 1920 x 1080 the difference in cards will be marginal and you woulod never really notice it.

if you play with much much higher resolutions i believe the 7950 handles it better, but someone else can probably clear that up abit more.

My vote goes for a 7950- get one and overclock it, I got 1000/1400 on stock voltage which is 25% faster than at stock- something benchmarks don't show. The overclocking headroom on the 7950 is amazing, definitely worth doing for the sake of spending 5 seconds moving some sliders.
