I have done research but not yet got any satisfying answers.... so i thought i would ask you guys :)

As far as i can tell both cards overclock like beasts, the 660ti overclocks to near 670 levels and so far is my card of of choice, plus it has pci gen 3 ect.

I have however heard that the 7950 when overclocked is a more powerfull card.

So what i want to know is....

Is there a big difference, and which one should i get?

(also I plan to overclock both of them the to max i can, will be playing at 1080p, 2 - 4 AA, and the highest settings that keep me over 60fps)

(will be playing a mix of games; skyrim, farcry 3, batman ac, call of duty, sim city, the witcher 2, saints row, hitman absolution)

An overclocked 660Ti matches a stock 670.

An overclocked 7950 matches or just surpasses an overclocked 670. I think that tells you everything you need to know...

As you're interested in max settings including AA 4x the 7950 is an outright better option as it handles AA far better than the 660Ti.

I am desperate to recommend a 660TI (they are great cards) but sadly over priced IMO. The 7950 is a good buy and a good price and look for a Gigabyte.

PhysX is something that Nvidia have in a few games, which I love the look of the effects but only Batman AC has this in your list, so again the 7950 stands out as the better choice.

From the website im buying from (need to buy from as its a replacement for another card) it has an msi 660ti power edition for £236 and a sapphire 7950 for £250.

I am a fan of msi and in know that overclocking varies by manufacturer so is the saphire edition a good card?

also will the saphire edition overvolt?
