660ti safe voltage?

Unless it was purchased at release the odds are a PE would need the old bios flashed to get any form of over voltage.

Could try a gk104 bios editor to force higher power limits and perhaps 1.21v.

Unfortunately nvidia have really gimped overclocking on this gen.

There's the 1.21V BIOS floating around but other than that, that's your lot.

Same with the 670s and 680s too unless you have a 680 Lightning and speak nicely to Gregster to get the old BIOS :).

I just downloaded a bios edit program

I currently have it running at 1.21v

Is this too much? or not enough?

Also is it still ok to turn up the core up by +100 in msi afterburner when using unlocked bios?

You know you can overclock without touching the voltage?

This is probably your best bet as you can find the cards limit and then adjust from there.

Hi Rusty,

Yes I can get a nice overclock without touching voltage.

Was just wanting confirmation on whether or not the 1.2v bios is safe to use?

And is it ok to still adjust the core voltage in msi afterburner with new bios installed?

Thanks :)

The 1.21V will do no harm at all and others have reported a 50Mhz increase in core clock.

Ok thanks Gregster,

Thats great news :)

So just to confirm that i'm still ok to turn up my voltage in msi afterburner for core and memory by +100mv???????

Ps I know you like your 3dmark11 scores so here is one my mate just sent me on his first run with new bios.
Graphics of over 10000 on first run is promising :)

I will post my scores soon but 3dmark11 and vantage have stopped working (not sure why).

Absolutely :) You will get better stability and those voltages are more than safe. Keep an eye on temps of course :)

That is an impressive score on 3DMark11 and I look forward to you beating it :)

No probs and I have to be honest and say how impressed with that score I am. My stock 680 only just manages that. I didn't expect those cards to give that kind of return. Very impressed and if Nvidia would just chop £20 off the price, I can start recommending them :)

Yes perfectly safe.

Apply max voltage and then just find your highest stability point. Do the core/memory separately ideally but there's no harm doing both together :).

Just keep an eye on the temps.

I'm now getting a solid 1360 mhz on the core :)
