Is that power limit to the top? +50/100 on core and 350 on memory? I haven't even attempted to OC my 670 yet.

Overclocking on 6** series is so easy I wouldn't bother paying a premium for it.
It's a case of moving 3 sliders - 1 to max; 1 to around +50-100 as a safe bump; and one to +350 as a safe bump.

It's a lottery, luck of the draw. Just get one with a good cooler and hope you have a good 'un.Which is a good over clockable 670 and what would be a good over clockable 680 ?

Which is the best overclockable 680 ?
Well stats would probably say the 680 Lightning.

I think in the end a good over clockable 680 will give me more than an over clockable 670.
Even if I get 10 extra fps , its worth it for future proofing reasons.
I read somewhere the little bit extra fps is worth it, with some over clocking.
(little bit been 10 fps more)
What do you mean it has no fans?
The lightning doesn't have any fans on it or a vapor chamber.
Will air be enough to keep it cool ?
(I'm not water cooling)
You might get 10 FPS extra if you're getting 250 FPS. Otherwise the difference between a 670 and 680 while overclocked is nowhere near 10 FPS while the average is under 100 FPS. More like 2-5.![]()
It does have fans
It's just all gimmicks they put on when selling a card, is it Gigabyte?
The cooler will be more than enough - never heard anyone have anything bad to say about it.
About that card: "The test results were a letdown for the Exo card. Despite the impressive size of the cooler, after two benchmark runs of Metro 2033 we measured 78 degrees, worse than the standard cooler. It's also not a very silent card. Its 41.3dB(A) is acceptable for a high-end card, but it's not an improvement compared to the reference cooler.
The Point of View GeForce GTX 680 Exo Edition 2GB has a huge but ineffective cooler."
So yeah, Marketing tripe.

Looks like the same cooler, think 'ultra charged' just means it's been OC'd.
The lightning is on there to, saying it's slightly louder than average but a great cooler and best for overclockers.
