Never had any problems linking my Nokia 6680 to my PC by USB cable before, though now it won't connect, even though the drivers are all present & fine with the phone being recognised. Even plugged it into another PC to get it unlocked & that worked fine.

I've tried re-installing XP, new drivers, reseting phone, original memory card & different SIM, though with no joy.

When I plug the phone in I get the error message:
"PC Suite does not support the connected phone. PC Suite settings file in on an invalid format in the phone memory, error code 0x80044506. Switch off your phone, switch it on, and try again"

completley off topic but i didnt know it was possible to unlock the 66xx series smartphones yet how did you do it?

An unlock code can be provided by Nokia for the 6680 and N70 series.

It just so happens I know someone with a PC that can unlock Nokias as the NUC code I was given did not work, so perhaps there are problems with unlock codes, though I didn't try a GID code.

I may have 'monged' the 'C' partition on the phone as I've been messing with all sorts of Symbion programs (Doom runs great).

Doeas anyone have the stock files for 'C' ?

Thanks...

Fixed it :D

A while ago I was messing with the file "SuiteConf.xml" to get a wallpaper to fit the screen and I just copied a backup of the original file back over to the phone (by memory card) and it works now.
