670 Freeze crashing when enabling PCIe 3.0?

Anyone else running a single 670 on a Z68/Z77 board in PCIe 3.0 seen it crash/freeze as describe below;

I thought at first the my mobo was dead but seems it's just bugged out.

Yes, all that has been done.

Seems to be a problem only with the launch batch of 670s.

Personally I would just use PCI-E 2.0, the extra 1-2 fps isn't really worth the trade off.

Is your sig out of date? as I was under the impression that PCIe 3 wasn't available on i5 processors even if the motherboard supports it?

That maybe true, but it's also not expected hardware conflict. I thought my PCIe was defected because of this.

The Gigabyte board supports Gen3 on Ivy Bridge, which is what i've recently switch to this last week due to the i2500k dying.

I've also got a Z77 board which has the same problem, actually its worse on the Z77 as it won't even stay in Windows on that.
