Hey all

I'm about to upgrade my 580 to a 670 (decided the 680 wasn't worth the extra) - for 1080p gaming.

I was targeting the Gigabyte Windforce, but now OCUK has the EVGA 670 FTW coming, currently @ £319.99 I think the FTW is looking like the one I'll buy.

Anyone here got any comments good or bad on the FTW?

I don't need SLI now but it would be nice to have the option later, and the ref 680 cooler on the FTW would be better in SLI? My case is a Fractal R3 (currently 2 front fans in, 1 rear out, + PSU out) so I think my airflow is ok.

Thanks

Windforce>FTW in terms of cooling

The Windforce dumps heat into the case which shouldn't be a problem as long as you have decent airflow. The FTW will exhaust heat out, but will be louder most probably.

If you're going to be watercooling/adding a 3rd party cooler, the definitely the FTW

i've seen in deals today evga superclocked gtx 670 for 299£,check it out

That's not like the 670 FTW, which is essentially a GTX 680 with a 670 Chip ;)

To the op, You have done your homework, the EVGA 670 FTW is the best 670 IMO.

Stick a 140mm fan in the bottom of your case and with a fan profile for the 670 it will stay mid 60's and the motherboard about 30c at full load ;)

In what way ? Its certainly not quieter than a WF, so what makes it the best ?
