670 Minecraft

I fancied playing some minecraft tonight however after 2-3 minutes my GPU usage goes to 0 percent then spikes from 50 to 0 making the game completely unplayable any idea?

Any mods? Minecraft with only the HD texture mod runs fine for me.

What Java version do you have running?

This is how I have the game set up:

Setting Performance to max will allow the framerate to go to crazy levels but I find the GPU usage too high for my liking.

It says I have 32 bit java however I've installed 64 bit java.

Out of interest, does disabling the 'Advanced OpenGL' option above help? (670)

Could also try reinstalling Java and/or Minecraft as well and see if that helps.
Just make sure you back up your worlds before you reinstall Minecraft.

Seems 64 Bit fixed it.
