Which one!

Just trying to decide how much it matters, re backplates and such.

Either way it will be SLI given some time, just can't decide which to start off with. 27inch monitor 1440p res!

The connectors make much difference?

Monitor is on the way now, my 6950 wont keep up I know that. Although i'll give it a go.

New gpu is possible, was hoping to have semi ok fans on it until i got a new case / water cooling.

If you are going water cooled, I would be tempted to go with one with adjustable voltage (better cooling = more voltage potential).. That is what I would do anyways. Ohhh and not sure about the 670 having adjustable volts but EVGA do 1 with EVBot and MSI Lighning also does.
