Hey guys,

I have recently stumbled across a asus gtx 670 4gb for just under £400. But I have also found a asus gtx 680 2gb for the same price.

Which one should I go for (or an amd alternative)

Thanks.

If your gaming at 1920 x 1080 then either a 670 2gb or AMD 7950.

The AMD series offers better value for money, and the general feeling on

this forum is 7950 is the way to go

4GB is "overkill" at that resolution.

Price vs performance suggests a 7950 is the best bet, if it simply has to be Nvidia the 670 2GB.

I was going to recommend the Gigabyte WF 670, but this looks equally as good.

my recommendations are done as is, I dont have any experience oc the cards.

Then again the MSI 670 looks lie a smaller PCB?? Only an issue if you want to OC, otherwise my vote goes for the Gigabyte WF 670.

Go with the WF 670. You probably won't notice the difference between that and the MSI card, however MSI have had to call some batches back/produced faulty batches of AMD cards recently and also Gigabytes support for the UK is next to none. Also it's a full 680 PCB.

Look up reviews of the WF 670. It's arguably in the top 2 670s out. (Along with ASUS DCII)

Next to none or second to none? ;)

Either of the 670's would be my choice. Gigabyte for the UK based warranty + support unless there's a significant difference in the price.

Gigabyte UK support is about as good as it gets.

There is no point in going for the GTX 680 over the GTX 670 and certainly not 4GB over 2GB @ 1080P.

The 7950 also have the same performance as the GTX 670 for less money.
