Hi All,

Spec as per sig with the exception of new Gigabyte Windforce 670 that should be coming tomorrow.

I would like to add another at some point but was wondering how my current rig would cope etc?

This is considering the processor is a couple of generations old (i7 920 c0) and the mobo is only PCIe 2.0, the later of which I dont think would be a problem based on what i've read so far.

Any thoughts?

Cheers.

Ill be going the same route, tbh i cant see there being much of a bottlekneck if any with sli'd 670's on the x58 platform. Btw, what power supply have you currently got?

You dont need a new PSU, a corsair HX620 is basically an underspecified 750 watt PSU. And these cards consume very little power.

Thanks again for your answers.

If im honest I have been considering buying a new PSU for a while and based on the great service I have had with the Corsair I would be happy to spend a little extra to get another one unless it really is a waste compared to the XFX.

Maybe I dont need 850w but I always think of a good PSU as a good investment whilst providing some future proofing. I would hope that it will last me for a good while and cope with any future upgrades etc

Iirc, I dont think my current PSU has enough PCI power cables so i would have to resort to molex coverters etc right?

the only problem you will have is the PCI slot on the board is between the x16 lanes and if you need to use the PCI slot you can not fit 2 graphics cards
