Morning all,

I've recently started streaming on twitch, and recording gameplay. I didn't actually think I'd be doing this before buying the CPU. Now am not having any issues at all, having msi afterburner enabled before I stream fps is 165 solid no matter what I do in bf4, (main game I stream) on full settings at 1440p. When am recording streaming and playing fps drops between 165-158fps. My cpu load is 79-87% load.

Games I play witcher 3, projects cars, Assassins creed syndicate, watch dogs, ashes of the singularity. (All on the max settings)

Ashes of the singularity does bring my comp to it's knees if everything on crazy mode but that's because it seems that it doesn't support sli because only 1 card works fps is 40-50 on crazy setting using dx12, don't think I will be able to stream and play this as fps drop would make it unplayable.

I did experience fps drop to 20 while streaming gaming and recording then I found out that it was doing an anti-virus scan at the same time. I also can do all of the above plus listening to music and it's fine. Am just wondering I'm basically at the limits of the cpu and at the stage in thinking if I decide to do anything else it will not cope. Should I get a x99 system or wait for the upcoming enthusiast cpu's skylake-e etc?

Have you tried using your igpu built in on the cpu for streaming? Its called quick sync on obs software. I used to use it on a 3570k and the stream quality was pretty good.

Id wait until boardwell-E 14nm is released then decide if to upgrade

Does the igpu still not use the cpu? how does it work, will it take stress off the graphics cards? Am not having issues with them having 980ti matrix platinum is SLI is ample. Is there a way to use the gpu's for stream rendering?

Any ideas with that chip will be released mate?

Using your IGPU (Intel HD 530 - one of the best out there) to stream would mean your actual CPU doesn't have to do the stream encoding any more. This would gain you quite a bit of extra performance.

You have to enable the IGPU in the BIOS (should be under SA - system agent) and install the latest Intel drivers.

I'd try and hold out for Skylake-E at this point, seeing as you already have a Skylake setup. Doesn't make much sense to go backwards on CPU IPC, unless your going to stream every single day as a job etc.

Ah, thanks for this. I think it is enabled i'll double check. Will this not cause issues? I remember I had issues when I first got the setup, windows was detecting the igpu and not the 980ti's. I'll give it a shot though.

Will the skylake-e run on the same motherboard and will it be a 1151 socket or is there no information as of yet.
