Hi All,

I have a new 6700k with a Asus Maximus Hero Alpha under a Corsair H110i AIO cooler. Thinking of overclocking soon, so first off set to 44 multiplier per core leaving all other options on Auto.

Ran Aida for 2 hours all ok max temps about 52 or generally high 40's no issues - is it safe to leave it on Auto for the time being?

Also any good overclocking guides people on here recomment?

Thanks in advance

Molesy:)

Thanks guys, think i got a good one here, which will be a first - I'll have a read through the guide.

What kind of o/c's can the 6700k get if its a good chip?

Alternatively...

Don't disable C States
Don't disable EIST
Don't disable Turbo Boost
Don't set load line calibration to high
Set multiplier to 44/45/46+
Don't set Vcore to 1.35. Add a small offset instead. Try 50mV for starters.

The above allows the CPU complete control over its power states and core voltage exactly as intended and won't hamper an overclock. If you need to start disabling standard CPU features to make an overclock stable then it's not a stable overclock.
