6700k Voltage Not Fixed

Hello there, I have overclocked my 6700K on a MSI Z170A Gaming M5 to 4.5ghz, my only concern is voltage, I've managed to set it to 1.275v on vcore with a +3 offset, to keep it stable in IBT and Aida64, although at idle the voltage is 1.296 and under load its between 1.248-1.273. Is this normal and is there anything I can do to lower the voltage on idle? I am only verifying this voltage with CPU-Z. The bios on this motherboard is also very annoying as it only lets me tweak the voltage in segments i.e 1.25-1.30. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When you say +3 I take it you mean +0.03?

Have you tried without offset (just to check, before going back at it if you want)?

Typing the voltage in manually (if possible) may allow more fine tweaking. This is possible on Z87/Z97 MSI motherboards, not sure about Z170. Highlight the box and hit enter to change it.

Hello thanks for your reply, yeah I did mean 0.003, sorry about that. yep I tried it without offset. I got it stable at 1.280 but then tried 1.275 and increased the offset +0.01 at a time until stable at 0.003. Cheers

Hey guys, I done a 2-3 stability test on adaptive settings I seen the voltage spike around 1.33v and temps around 60c, I'm worried if I damaged my cpu? Any help would be appreciated.

What Load Line calibration setting are you using? A very agressive setting can completely remove vdroop the drop in volts under load, but it also can cause small spikes when the load drops.

Normally i use the second highest LLC setting. Turbo i think its called on my board.
