Hi, I built this pc today for my cousin the specs are:

I5 3570K, 8GB of Ballastix Ram, 1TB Seagate Barracuda, CD-ROM drive, Asus p8h67-m and a corsair 430 Builders edition and lastly the 6770 Sapphire Flex.

The computer is intended for Minecraft so the specs are more than ample for it however when I tried to boot the computer today with a dvi into the gpu everything posted apart from the display on the monitor. I thought maybe it's the IGPU preventing the GPU for displaying an image.

All of the fans and light initiate just not the display should I use the VGA onboard before trying anything else? I hope that this will give me a display if not I'm completely stumped.
 
Yeah,try the igpu. I take it you dont see the bios? Use the onboard to access the bios then disable the igpu. I know this is a daft question but I have to ask......you do have the dvi connected to the gpu and not the motherboard? Only asking as I had this with someone who bought a 7970 from me and thought it didnt work!
 
Also,try the other connections (hdmi,mdp) and also try another cable as its best to eliminate the obvious before you start getting complicated
 
The cable works fine with my two monitors I'm using now so the cable isn't the issue, I don't see the bios you're right so hopefully the onboard will post a display then I can disable the IGPU and then hopefully boot with the 6770. thanks for responding :)
