Has anyone heard anything about any waterblocks for this SKU? I'm not clued up on whether they're supported often. Obviously the 7970 lightning is getting a EK block so I'd assume EK are also making one for this.

I might have to concede the aesthetics and buy one of those ugly new EK blocks.. :(

They are only making one for the 7970 version because OcUK & MSI gave EK a nudge to make one (and a sample card).

Rjk would probably be able to give you a definite yes/no/maybe.

Tbh the PCB's on both 7970 & 680 lightnings look very similar, just less memory chips on the 680.

Well I'm going to keep my fingers crossed because I just ordered one on today only. I actually have two evga hydrocoppers on backorder (10% off voucher - that's how long they've been on backorder) but I'm telling ocuk to cancel them because evga are just taking the **** tbh.

If I can't get a full cover I'll just stick to air on a single card because I cba to fiddle around with crappy ram sinks and all that kafuffle.

You shouldn't need ramsinks if you go for a uni-block, the lightnings usually have a large heatsink covering the VRM's & memory, all you'd need to add would be some airflow ;)
