680 SLI owners + BF3

i still get better performance with HT off but I guess that would be because it's still only using 8 of my 12 HT "cores" with HT on, or all 6 with HT off

but then all the benchmarks/IBT etc. show better performance with HT off as well

Definitely not the situation for me. When I turn it off usage is all over the place, up and down everywhere hovering in between 80-95%. When hyper-threading is on the usage is increased a bit to say 95% but there's not half as many sudden FPS drops or no lag spikes when a tank blows up in front of you.

I would have thought it would be even better with HT on with a 3930k since it still has the other 4 cores for background Windows **** and the game has full use of the eight cores.

I haven't been playing around much as all my projects are due Friday week and I haven't time really, Sorry.

Are you really experiencing "lag" with a 680 SLI set up?! Rein in your expectations! Dropping to 60 FPS isn't lag. I think after reading everything so far that it's the game scaling but still interested if you can eliminate it.
