6800 - 7800 problem

Can anyone help, am upgrading from a 6800 to a 7800GT and it posts fine, but I loose signal as soon as it gets into windows. Tried in Safe mode - same thing, also deleted the drivers. ANy ideas?

Try different port? Like VGA if your using DVI, different DVI if you have two DVIs, etc

tried a different dvi, have even put power from another machine into the 7800 to see if it was a power issue but no joy!!

Could it be a bios issue?

Unlikely, you could try clearing CMOS I suppose but I don't think it'll help.

tried that, have put in a pci card as well, windows fine, see's both card, only one screen on each, installed drivers, then removed pci card - back to same problem!!

even tried it with s-video out on the card - still drops out as it loads the windows!!!!!!!!! I am not at a loss

Definitely not a psu issue - put a 600W in there - same problem
