Impressive slides if they are half accurate...
So that's their excuse for having poor tessellation, looks like it's carried on through to the 6*** series. Where there is a decent level of tessellation it performs at previous generation level, hardly any tessellation it performs better than previous gen, that's progress for you....
Does the new AA not look way to blurry...

Looks like it tessellates better than the GTX460, guess that's as good as it NEEDS to be.
At pixel level it does, but probably not when zoomed out.
How much is the 6850 going to cost? why are they putting up against the 768mb GTX460. If that is the price range it is going to be in (£120)it is really impressive.

That's kinda the idea, plus the image sample will be magnified by something like 5 times, the jagged edges represent pixels.

The chart further up is comparing the 6850 Vs 460 768mb.
morphological looks like a slight spin on jitter sampling.
Still, it looks very interesting so can't wait until Friday, dying to see the 69** specs and performance. Good to see AMD continue to add new features.
I noticed there are no heaven benchmarks in their charts, which is not a good sign tessellation has improved by much IMO.

6870 is going to be mixing it up with 470.

the new changes look awesome.
There is going to be a lot of dissapointed 480gtx users when 69## comes out in nov.
All they are going to have will be Heaven benchmark, bacon and egg cooking and high electricity bills...
