Hello there.

We have an Asus A8N SLI board and a Gigabyte 6600 (GV-NX66256D)graphics card. Now, the card does not have the sli connector but i have heard that sli is possible through the PCI-E interface. The card says its SLI capable in the driver but will it definately work if i stick another 6600 in?

Cheers

i think its possible with the 77.77 nvidia driver only as quad sli was done with no bridge on the dual 256mb 7800GTs from asus, the 77.77 driver is the only one i have heard of that doest not sure if the neww driver are cappable, it would be a waste of money if it didnt work but i suppose you have the distance selling act to fall back on if it doesnt work

im using a single 6600 in my rig, my card doesnt have the connector either but it shows in the (latest) forceware installed on my machine that if i plug in another card it will work. It also says on the packaging from the graphics card that it is sli compatible.

It will work, when SLI first got released to the public, tomshardware ran a test of 6800's (i think) in SLI both with and without the bridge connector. It does slow down the performance a little compared to the same setup with the connector, but will work fine.

Well, it worked. Perfectly! Slotted it in, started up, driver recognised it and i enabled it. Great. It have doubled his FPS!!!

Thanks for all your help. ;)
