6800 unlocking with rivatuner

is it possible to damage the card?

tried it on a mates the other night... unlocked to 16/6 (on AGP) and it crashed in 3dmark01 so i reset it back to normal and it completed. i figured it just wouldnt work without additional cooling.

now my mates having trouble with it crashing halfway through games... notably BF2142 demo.... i had this with my x1800xt though so im sure its a buggy demo and not the graphics card?

why anyone in this day and age bothers with 3dm01 is beyond me. i run either 05 or 06. anything below is useless for performance indication.

unlocking will not damage the card. but don;t do any voltmodding on it. my old card died due to volt mod.

3dm01 is only a 25mb download and it was 9pm at night. only wanted a quick stability test which it failed so it served its purpose.

thats cool.... thats what i told him. ive volt modded loads of cards including 6800GTs and never had one die. i couldnt understand this 6800 problem...
