6800GS>7600GS STEP UP OR DOWN

HI ALL

have just built a sugo and have a 6800gs in there its a bit noisey i notice ocuk sell the silent 7600gs am thinking of getting it but

i play a fair few games and wonder if this is a step down from my leadtek 6800gs

if i am right the clocks are a lot slower than my current card what you think

yeah i know but thi is the 7600gs it has a slower clock and mem speed of my 6800gs

While the 7600gt out performs the 6800gs (by a lean margin only) the 7600gs is more like a 6600gt. And with the passive cooler there is probably little room for overclocking.

yeah true think i might just hold on a month or two and pick up a 7800gt and get a zalamn gpu fan
