6800GT to 7600GT - worthwhile upgrade?

I was thinking for a while about changing my 6800GT AGP (running at Ultra speeds) to a 7600GT as they seem to be reasonably priced, but then I read somewhere that the performance increase wouldn't really be very big.

Could someone just confirm whether or not this would be a worthwhile upgrade, or would I be better saving for something else.

Thanks :)

My 6800 running at ultra speeds gets about 100 points (out of a score of around 6000) less in 3D Marks 05 than a 7600GT... not worth the upgrade.

I'd save and wait for the x1950pro to come out, ignoring the hideously expensive 7800GS+ they are the only card which would give a big boost over an overclocked 6800GT.

Of course, the best option is arguably to save for a PCI-E upgrade, as those cards don't carry the same price premium and you have a much wider choice.

Imo, bad advice.

agp is dead and need to be run over a few times to kill it off, pci-e is cheaper and much better availability. :)
