6800k hot hot

Currently have a Phanteks PH-TC12X cpu

Until I get my extra case fan I aren't going over 4100Mhz. Anything below 1.27 is unstable. I have it stable under prime95 for 30 minutes so far but the peak temp hit 93c that seems crazy seen as some have overclocked it a lot higher.

I have six corsair air flow case fans which I ordered from OcUK four days ago being processed. I hope they help a lot.

From whats being said if you go over the 6800k the increased thermals outweigh the performance gains. Try going down to 4ghz and see the max temp then.

Dont run prime95 on it is my first point. 6 core+ CPU's get rediculously hot when under P95 load. Even my old h110i GT hit 91c in P95.

Run realbench stress test and report back with temps.
