I've had my Aoleus 6800LE Clocked to the max (Can't remember numbers, sorry) for a while, and unlocked to 16*6, with adequate cooling. After a re-format its back at stock, In NFSMW I've seen the roadsigns flickering, and last night I had pink arrows falling from the sky and a large black shadowy thing chasing and occasionally overtaking the car.

Is this the behaviour of a near end of life card? Just over a year old!
Cheers

Not necessarily ;)
Is it only NFS: MW?
What you've got doesn't sound like typical artifacting to me, but more like problems with the game/ drivers. Have you updated to the latest version?
The black shadow sounds to me like another car that isn't being rendered correctly. Dunno about pink arrows, screenie?
Use ATI Tray Tools to scan for artifacts & see what that gives.

Ok if it happens again I'll hit the button and get a screenie. I've only seen it in NFS, but thats all I've done just recently. And yes, drivers have changed to nVidia's new ones, could be that.
Cheers :p

I had this kind of thing last night in CSS and it always happens in BF2. I have a 9800pro though

It can be a sign of overheating, my rig is silent most of the time and Iam always forgetting to turn up the fan speed when playing games. Is your machine overclocked greatly ?

You have unlocked it way beyond its normal spec, its to be expected I think just make sure its kept cool. Your model comes with a temp guage for the GPU I think
