6850 a sensible upgrade from a 4890?

As you can see from my spec i currently run a "crippled" crossfire setup with 4890's, i still get good returns with the second card on, but fancy DX11 and dont use the second card a lot as just forget to turn xfire on lol.

I now have been looking at moving to a 6850......

would this be a good jump, obviously single card to single card over the 4890 XXX at 1920x1080?

Your getting a tiny performance increase so it seems...

I'd go for a 6950 if your budget can stretch it and flash that puppy to a 6970.

not really worth it, your current crossfire setup is probably equal to around 6950 power.

Even a jump to 6870 wouldnt be worth it, go for the 69x0 series or youd be disappointed.

I would go for the 6950, having had dual 4890s myself you'll benefit from:

Lower Noise
MUCH lower temps
Lower power bill
