i own a single 6850 the oc.uk one qutie happy with card good value for cash, but im ready to upgrade gfx,to somit like a 6950 or 6970 wish i had cash for 7950 but mrs would leave if i spent that much cash on gfx card again lol,but buyin etheir of theese cards is going to cost me from 210-280 depending on what card i pick would i be better off just buying same card as what ive got now another 6850 and run crossfire? they on this week only at about 96 quid which is bargin for card or would i be better spending the extra cash and getting the upgrade? can run most games i play on now at full setting fine but im sure there will be somit new that comes out and this card will strugal with.

Feel kinda bad thread jacking, but mine is:
2500k
z68ap-d3
8GB hyperX grey@1600

Mostly play mmos like RIFT/WOW, going to be playing GW2 when it comes out etc.
Monitor at 1440x900 atm, will be upping to 1080 in a few weeks though when i'm paid!

1080p in me hd tv use it as monitor,16 gig mem@1600,8 core bulldozzer @4.5 asus evo bord, and run games off 2 ssds running raid, watercooling, corseair 850w psu, would 2 6850s in crossfire be much diference 2 a single card i could afford 6950 or 6970?

The Gigabyte Z68AP-D3 is not the best motherboard for CrossFire as it runs the PCI-E slots at x16/x4.

You'll still get a decent boost from CrossFire but with the higher end cards on average you'll lose about 10% performance compared to a board which runs the slots at x8/x8
