6850 Graphics Card Opinions Needed

hey fella's,

my friend is looking to get a good graphics card for under £100
he's got a cooler master 460w PSU but is in the process of looking for one with more grunt so he's limited his funds for the GPU at £100

we stumbled across this MSI 6850

but we are not very sure about the fan on it though, it looks pretty weak.
i've tried to find reviews on it but all i can find is the one with the 9cm fan and black/red case.

do any of you know if this is actually any good? or could you recommend any other good solid cards.
it needs to be handle BF3 pretty nicely aswell as games like Diablo 3 and Skyrim etc. he uses a low res monitor but will be using a 1080p monitor abit further down the line

I was going to buy this for my brother, so he could pair it with his other one (Asus 6850)
I was put off by the weedy looking cooling it seems to have :L

It's clocked higher though, and his @stock plays BF3 40-50fps on high @1080.
Worth a shot though, will shoot through Skyrim and D3 anyway.

Edit: 430w is enough.
 
i run bf3 with the asus 6850 runs with a custom set of settings atm but can play campaign on high never dropping below ~45fps and can play 64man kharg on medium without ever going below 60fps.

I have custom settings for graphics so i can turn some things up to high and others that i dont like off

Its a very good card for the money and comfortably copes with bf3

O btw i play at 1080i (1680/1050 irrc)

Picked an MSI 6850 up the other day.

Initially I was put off by the fan but for £84 I gave it a shot.

Afterburner sees it as a Cyclone, essentially it is but with a different cooler.

Got it at 940 core 1140 mem never goes above 61 degree running Heaven. GPU-Z reports

other temps fine too.

Really quiet too.
