I recently purchased an MSI 6850 GPU from Overclockers, along with an asus motherboard, intel CPU, ram, corsair PSU, and today I was ready to build my computer. After putting everything where it should be and plugging all my PSU/SATA cables into the right areas, with anticipation I pressed the on switch. Instead of a welcome screen I was given nothing more than an error message on my monitor "no video input", if a cables not connected then i'm presented with "check cable connection" so this isn't normal.
- 6850 connected via DVI-DVI cable to monitor
After this failing I went out and bought a VGA cable to test my motherboards onboard graphics to see if that would fix the problem, but this time it didn't seem to notice any cable input at all.
Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be? is my motherboard faulty? should I get it sent off for repairs? Thanks guys.
