Incorrect, I think it will be much the same as the current 5770 for the new 6870.
6870 will be sub £200 and 6850 sub £160 to compete against GTX 470 and GTX 460 respectively. They are lower-cost parts than 58xx series.
Don't confuse the 6970 with a 5970, it is a single GPU and a direct replacement for a 5870, blame AMD's new naming scheme.
Looks like we won't be seeing the 6970's till Dec the earliest then![]()
