hiya, Ive found these forums to be a real help with issues over the years, sourced a few of my bits from OCuk, so heres another Q for you
X58A - UDR3
i7 (930 @ 2.8)
12 gig of RAM
Xonar sound
2 x 6870 HD crossfired.
tv card.
I had some extra cash so I treated myself to the 2nd 6870.
after fitting I literally have no space between my PCI cards. From next to the cooler over to the far side where the TV card is there is no gap between cards.
As a result the middle 6870 is hitting 87/88/89 and the fan is going nuts as its fan faces into the back of the new 6870. The new 6870 fitted in the outer slot is fine.
I cant have the sound the fan is making going on in my front room its like living inside a hoover!
airflow in the actual case is reasonable.
I really dont want to send the new card back, anyone else have a similar setup can suggest anything? Anyone have a tight fitting system with similar issues that they have solved?
Any help appreciated.
edit: just ordered a PCI-E riser, going to try and solve by moving the card
any suggestions still being listened to!
