Hi all, just got my new setup sorted, I can only install my 6870 hawk in the bottom slot due to the way the SATA entry points are on my board, are all the 6870s this big or will I be okay with a diff brand?

Didn't you get an MSI P67A-GD53?

The SATA connectors on the motherboard are angled at 90 degrees so that you can fit a graphics card over them while the SATA cables are connected.

yes mate I got that, however it's just to long to fit properly, not sure if I have an extra long card or something but it wont go in

There's nothing on the motherboard, as far as I can see, to stop you using a long video card.

Are you sure it isn't something inside the case obstructing the card?

Perhaps if you could upload or link to a picture of your system we'd have a better idea of what's going on.

You're doing it wrong.
I've used the same board with a 470 SLI set up and a 6870 Crossfire set up.

You're not using SATA cables with right angled connectors in those ports are you?

If you are the right angled end should be connected to the drive, and the flat end to the port, so that the graphics card can go over the top.
