Hey,

I'm looking at getting a 6870 to go in my system (below). I'm not a heavy gamer - for now so I don't really wanna splash out loads on a really expensive card if I don't have to.

I wanna be able to play the latest games, Battlefield 3 and Skyrim etc on high settings, if not max on a 1680 x 1050 display. The next card up really jumps to over £200, but seeing as I can get this card now for £125 I think I'd prefer to save the money.

I might look at crossfiring in the future, or selling this card and getting something more powerful, but for the time being I want something which will suffice.

Will I be getting good frame rates on most games for the time being and for future games?

Thanks

Yeah, the 6870 will play the newest games around. May have to drop BF3 High rather than Max. Skyrim will run on ultra, it does on my GTX 460.

I don't know how Xfire scales. I do know the GTX 460's SLI well. :)

For you budget, under £200, you can maybe consider a GTX 560 (ti).

Looking at the XFX. Looks a good quality card. My friend has one, its quite nice and I have an XFX psu already which I love :)

I play games like Dirt3, F1 2011, Shift 2, BF3, Metro, Crysis, AvP, Dead Space and Batman games on either high or maxed easily with a 6870 Twin Frozr at 1050 or 1080p. Fantastic card for the price.

I had a single 6870 and recently added another 1 to crossfire. Currently at 1920x1080 resolution but planning on moving up.

The single card was great for all games I was playing (MW3, BF3, Skyrim, SWTOR and other older games).

Your spec is also similar to mine so the 6870 would be fine for you.

Great cheers. Whats the card like to crossfire? Thats a possibility in the future :)

Anyone have the Sapphire HD 6870. It has great reviews and I can get it for a little cheaper than the XFX.
