I currently use a hd 6870 and i was thinking about a gigabyte 780.

The prices have already dropped massively and i was wondering if you think it would drop anymore from now up until just after xmas.

I would be slightly annoyed if i waited until xmas for a price drop and there wasn't one or it was so insignificant and i could have been playing with the 780 all that time.

Your thoughts?
 
I would wait until the r290 releases (5th November). The general consensus is that it'll be a cracking card for the money (assuming a decent price of course) which might force the nVidia prices down another notch. It's only 2 more days so it wouldn't hurt to wait!
