6870 to what?

Ok I have 1 6870 now I used to have 2 but sold one when I stopped playing bf3. Started playing again so I'm after an upgrade. CPU is an i7 2600k at 4.2 and I have 8 gb of ram but I have the 30" dell 2048x1536 so need grunt. Also nothing stupidly loud.

I don't want 2 cards again and I would be looking to something quite a bit faster and I don't want to pay over 300

Not fussed on amd or nvidia, suggestions?

For that res, I'd try and push your budget just a little more...say twenty / thirty quid or so :

If you can't stretch that far, then get either a 280X or GTX770.
