6870 Wont POST?

Hi,

Just bought a nice shiny HD6870 - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-252-SP&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1866

Ive fitted the card to my computer and now the system fails to even POST. I get about 3 beeps and thats it. System has a 730w power supply (Be quite iirc). Motherboard is an Asus M3A32-MVP Deluxe.

Anyone have any ideas?

system boots and runs perfectly with my GTX 260 back in which leads me to think its something graphics card related :S

I take it thats not the problem and you've checked the above underlined are plugged in !

If its 1 long and 2 short thats a video card error with a MB and Award BIOS.

^ Yup ive plugged both pci express power leads into the gfx card. Thats the first thing that come to my mind.

I think it is 1 long and 2 short beeps. ill have to pop the card back in tomorrow and check. Possible faulty video card then do you think?
