690 driver issues

Since getting my 690 yesterday ive had 5-6 driver stopped working then recovered issues. I took out all the ATI 6990 drivers and installed the latest 690 drivers from the nvidia site.

Im going to be installing windows tomorrow on new ssd,s I have coming so I hope the new install will make all the difference but Im just wondering if any other 690 owners are having issues with the latest drivers?

For a single card the drivers should work fine. For 2 cards the drivers can be difficult to get SLI running but once working they are very good with no problems.

I hope when you get a fresh install with the latest WHQL drivers, everything is sweet. Normally that error points to votage or driver problems and hopfully it is the latter you are having.

For a new card, especially going from Red to Green I'd suggest a fresh OS install to be sure.

yeah I fully agree with this.

ive went from red to green and green to red before and had issues. when I get my new drives tomorrow I will report back

ok so reinstalled windows 7 and so far no issues with nvidia drivers.

this appears to have sorted it....

Now your up and running have you thought about testing it out with 3Dmark11 and posting on Gregsters 3Dmark11 thread.
