Hi,

Just wondered if anyone has any overclocking tips, I have been smashing out 3dmark for 2 days now and it seems the sweet spot is roughly around:

300w using more power tools
1020 undervolt
2550 min mhz
2750 max mhx
2150 mem frequency max ( memory timing doesn't make much of a difference for me )

Whats strange is the CPU score seems to decrease as the GPU score goes up. I have also noticed more stability in games by increasing to around 300w which is rather weird

I can't seem to modify any clock settings in more power tool as it screws up Wattman. If I modify clock settings wattman refuses to apply.

I also found that modifying the max power from +15 to +20 in more power tool I am unable to apply in wattman it just backs up to the OEM +15

MPT unable to modify clocks right now for rdna2 but you can modify gpu power and tdc current.

With ref. 6800xt i tried 320gfx power and 350 tdc for benchmarking (not for gaming) without an issue. That's provides you better avg clocks at 2k+4k but also increase your temps. For benchmarking set your fans at %100 :)

ah ok cheers I wasn't aware of that! I haven't altered TDC as of yet but might try that! thanks for your help! I leave fans at 100% always anyway :)

Currently holding highest score with a 6900xt and 5900x on timespy which I'm quite happy about! Have to say this overclocking stuff is addictive!

Firestrike also seems like a good one to focus on as it looks easier to get into "the hall of fame"

Anyway happy Christmas everyone

Congrats.

I believe you can get the best graphics score if you really want to. Try to limit your max voltage with mtp. Your gfx voltage is 1175. Try 1160 or lower until you can get a score. (you should do it on mpt not in radeon software)

Plus, Also lower you max soc voltage i tried 975 and it was still working. Try it with or without Sam and you can also try GPU Scheduling on/off and close every option on radeon sofware like freesync or image sharpening ect.

Thanks for the tips! I found that with Sam off it got more consistent results.

How do you go about turning on/off GPU scheduling ?

Just right click on desktop go your display settings. After that enter the last one.

Also your temps seems very high. If you have chance i suggest do it like that it helps very much. Pressure fans helps cooling.

Nice setup! Yeah I literally have it in a sealed case just relying on 100% fan speed and a 3000rpm exhaust fan lol

I also need to sort the CPU OC out, at the moment can't get past 4.725 GHz :(

Nice one I'll check that out now! I might pull the side off the case and see if that helps a bit!

Trouble with the CPU is there isn't a huge amount of information regarding voltages so I'm reluctant to push much higher as don't want to risk destroying it!

GPU scheduling was only enabled in one specific beta driver by AMD. Officially it has been removed/disabled after that as it is not working « well enough » at the moment / needs further development work.
