Alright all, first post and first time Ive even considered overclocking so be gentle!

I have got a 6930g laptop with a C2D T7450 processor running at 2.13GhZ. I wondered whether I could overclock this at all, being a laptop I know there are heat concerns.

Ive downloaded SetFSB but no idea what I'm looking at.

Is it worth it? or should I just upgrade the processor, if that's the case, any options on what is best?

Cheers in advance

Not that many laptops do overclocking as standard, you might have to do a pin mod, otherwise SetFSB won't work. Other than that, I doubt the overclock you'll get will be good enough to really satisfy your needs.

Also remember that not all laptops can have the CPUs replacing, so you need to check whether your model has a socket CPU, or whether it's soldered.

Very unlikely you can overclock it at all. Even then, I wouldn't recommend it. Just not worth the risk.

I didnt think I could get much more from it...

Its a socket P processor.

Apparently I can upgrade it without too much hassle. Again never done before, but I reckon I know a few lads who would be able to do it.

What about a t9900?
