6950 artifacting

Ah I work down that way a fair bit but live in the Midlands so probably a no-goer there.

I'd try turning the mem speed down a lot and seeing if it still does it, similarly with the core, then both low speed together - if it does it in these situations then it's a sure sign of a fubar'd card :(

Well i'm going to contact HIS themselves tomorrow if they replace it or refund it. If they replace i'll buy another 6950 when the other 6950 is running smoothly :D

i'd say it was a temperature fault. do you run your sound through your graphics card? I only ask as I've had experience of sound distortion at high temps with ATI cards. also do you have all of your case fans turned on and that they are flowing correctly?

His card is hitting 75 degrees, that's nothing.

Nope I don't use the HDMI to connect to my monitor. Get crackling with my headset sometimes but that's not due to the graphics card it's because i've got my razer piranha at full volume and full bass xD I have all of my fans running. One of the back of the case, one with on the processor and that's it.

just been playing the game on my htpc @1920x1080 on an old 4850 and I get exactly the same yellow flashes on my screen, these have only started to happen since upgrading the drivers to the latest ati bf3 drivers.

Fair point, put the latest WHQL's on and see if the WoW problem still exists.
