Booted up the other day, cruised the web for a bit then left the machine for a while. Went back on and there were BSOD colour pixels on the top right of my screen a bit inside the top right corner but definitely in a certain area, they wouldnt go, there were some permenant and some that pulsed with the current going through my machine, none more than a few pixels size. (no soundcard means I can hear current going through my rig). On opening steam some stuck to the steam window and would move across the screen with it. Opened furmark and bc2 and the dots kept up the same pattern.

Obviously this screams gpu memory and I gave rectal birth to a building block, so to speak.

Nothing made it go away then I rebooted and bingo, its been fine through hour long gaming sessions and any attempt I made to recreate the issue. Card is at catalyst maxes- anyone else seen anything like this?

I had this yesterday on my 6850 running catalyst 11.2. It mainly affected a desktop gadget I ahd running. Seems gone now. May go back to cat 11.1

One of my 6950's is showing the odd sparkle at stock too, strangely it happens more at low load (like having the steam store window open) than under full load although I sometimes do see some when running furmark or heaven benchmark.

Using drivers 11.2 currently, I'll try 11.1 to see if it's software but going to have to do some investigation :(
