Got a 2GB Sapphire and a 1GB HIS running at x8, they are running ok as in the fans on both cards are running, CPU-Z recongises two cards but I can't enable CF on CCC? any Ideas.

How is your 1GB HIS card?

Still poorly?

Ideally you want two 2GB cards as you effectively only have 1GB of RAM.

I'm sure that's been mentioned many times in your many threads.

I've done it now, How do I monitor if both cards are working don't seem to be getting any fps increase on games like BF3, But Heaven 2.5 has gone from 1000 to 1910 so an improvement there which i'm pleased about. Any programs you guys know of?

Radeon Pro will show your GPU usage in game so you can check if both GPU's are being used and how much.

Settings > CrossFireX > Tick the box to Enable the CrossFireX bar.

And remember that CrossFire only works in full screen mode.

Didn't make any difference :(

It's not supposed to make a difference.

If you've set Radeon Pro up as I said then you'll have a bar on the left hand side of the screen.

It's split into 2 and will show the activity of the 2 GPU's so you can see if they're both being utilised, or not, and how much each is being used.

I've heard somewhere that you can use MSI Afterburner as well.

Unless you're severely CPU bottlenecked I can't believe you don't see an improvement in any games.

You need to use Radeon Pro, MSI Afterburner, or whatever else there is, to see how your GPU's are being used.

You need to provide some useful information so that we can try and help you.

If one GPU is working 100% and the other not at all then CrossFire isn't working.

If both GPU's are working at, say, 50% then that could indicate other issues.

Do some tests using the programs you've been told about then post back with some results.

D it not be to do with having a 1gb model thrown in there, because as said before you will now only have 1gb off effective vram, so if your trying to play maxxed out wont you run out off vram before you run out of rAw power?
Somthings definatley not right as you should be able to see a noticable increase

My CPU is now back at 3.2 (stock)

It will be a scaling issue due to you running your cpu@stock.

BF3 isn't cpu demanding but CrossFire/SLI is very cpu dependant, I'm guessing you will be experiencing quite a bit of micro-stutter too.

Running 2 6950's on your cpu@stock isn't going to give you much of a boost at all in gpu intensive titles.

The single 6950 will run as it should in single card setup, for talking sake utilising anything from 75% upwards of the gpu, even with your cpu@stock.

The dual setup scaling is taking a hit because the cpu@stock is causing a bottleneck with the cards comunicating with each other causing low utilisation at a guess of anything between 45% to 70% on the gpu.
