6950 hole sizes

Hi i have a danger den maze 4 low profile water block on my 4850

ive been told The hole spacing on the 6800 series is 53mm, same as the 48xx cards.

Is the 6950 the same ?

Go to Techpowerup reviews and download the hi res board pictures, and overlay them in photoshop. That's what I have done when making Coolers for cards

i dont have a printer, i gone to the site enlarged the image and put a ruler on the screen.

Would this work the same?

it looks like it measures 52mm not 53mm?

If it's less than a couple of mil You can quite easily file/drill out the holes

Just overlay the images and use something like the contact figures as a size reference if you don't have any other accurate way of measuring
Be sure You do view the images at the same magnification though.

i might do this, as i have a 4870, and a full cover block, so if i upgrade i might haveto mod the block

I could put my 5850 stock cooler back on and you wouldnt be able to tell. I even have some thermal paste the same grey colour. Dont know about the two newest cards, but ATIs dont normally come with threadlocked screws.
