I just cant decide which to go for either a 6970 or 6950 its driving me mad. Been going through the forum all day reading and laughing at all the banter regarding the new releases etc
I have been looking at the MSI HD 6970 2048MB Twin Frozr III GDDR5 which looks to be a great card and clocked rather well.
I have also been looking at the Club3D HD 6950 2048MB GDDR5, although this is a great price it clocked slightly lower on both the core and memory and im just not to sure of the overclocking ability of the card. Its much cheaper than the MSI i know so would it be a waste of money going for the higher clocked MSI? Would it really give anymore of a performance gain at 1080p?
I have also had a look at the 7850's, mainly the MSI HD 7850 Twin Frozr III OC 2048MB. It has a nice OC core clock of 900mhz but the memory speed is less than both the 6950 and 6970 which put me off slightly, not sure if that would make any difference at all which is why i would be so grateful for some expert opinions.
Hope you can help point me in the right direction. I dont really wanna spend anymore than 300 quid as i will be upgrading to an i5 2500k setup which could cost me 450 quid with all the components. I will sell off my 5850 to help with the cost as well.
