I would have posted this in the 6950 mod thread at the top but i guess id get a quicker response by posting it here.

After unlocking just my shaders on my card to 1536. Can someone tell me what voltage readings it should be set at?

Do i want it at 1.100v or 1.175v? As after the bios flash they was set to 1.175, but the defult is 1.100. Im a little confessed, as i thought unlocking the shaders would do just that, i didnt want to sod about with the voltage.

cheers

On gpz 5.0 its saying that my clocks are 810/1250, which are standard for the 6950 card, with the shaders been 1536, which we know is not standard. On MSI afterburner the clock speeds are the same, 810/1250, but the voltage reads 1.175.

Do i just leave the clocks alone and put the voltage back to 1.100 then, or just leave it be and keep the volts at 1.175. Its all confusing to me now. :D

I'm guessing you used the Asus unlocked shader bios. I would leave the voltage at 1.175V myself as it helps achieve better overclocks. If you did use the Asus bios, you can increase your ccc limiits with smartdoctor.

You should keep the shadermod only and overclock the card with afterburner to 880/1375 clocks

both my cards run at that easily with default voltage 1.100v

cheers for the replies, yes the ccc limits have also been unlocked via smart doctor.

So current clocks at standard, 810/1250 voltage set to 1.100v
If i wanted to overclock it to 6970 specs (880/1375) then its up to me to up the voltage or not then.

I got i it now. :D thanks for your help
