Hi,

I am adding the following components to my system;

HIS ATI Radeon HD 6950 IceQ X Turbo 2048MB
OCZ Vertex 2E 120GB

I understand that the 6950 can be unlocked to 6970 from the OCUK thread, and this link in the thread reporting 70 out of 71 tested worked fine (last update March). Anyone on OCUK got experience with this specific card?

The information I am really after is set-up of my system when I install Windows 7 onto the SSD. What I have gleaned so far from OCZ forums;

- Update firmware before installing windows
- Set AHCI in the BIOS.
- Use Intel Rapid Storage Technology (RST) drivers
- Turn off defrag
- Make sure TRIM is enabled (should be in Win 7)
- Turn off drive indexing

Anything else?

TIA.

Jim.

10.6 RST drivers would not install on my system, anyone else had this?

Error message - this computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing this software.

Looking in device manager, I have Intel ICH9 SATA AHCI driver 7.0.0.1013 installed for the controller, and for the SSD itself Microsoft 6.1.7600.16385 driver.
