Guys, I know there's a huge thread on turning a 6950 into a 6970 and I've looked through some of it, but please can I just check that I have done this correctly. All I want is for my new Sapphire 6950 Toxic to run exactly as if it was a 6970 at its defaults.

So, I flicked the bios switch before installing the card and was please to see that GPU-Z reports 1536 shaders. I then used TriXX to increase the Memory clock from 1300 to 1375 and set TriXX to load at startup and restore clocks. I've done nothing else and haven't even got AMD Overdrive enabled. Voltage is at the default of 1175.

This is what GPU-Z looks like. Is this all okay?

Yeah, is fine. Wish both my Toxic's unlocked, but sadly only one did :(

Not that it really matters. Really good cards, but not very quiet when run in crossfire with no spacing :(

But I am happy with them and sure you will be too :)
