6950 vs 7850?

Not much price difference between these two graphics cards, is it worth paying a bit more for the 7850? The 6950 can still be unlocked to 6970 right?

unless you have a 69x0 to CF with, may as well get the 7850

highly unlikely with a new card (might be possible with an older 2nd hand one)

yep, I sold my 6950 and bought a 7850. Quieter, more energy efficient and good overclocking headroom. Plus it was with a free game at the time!

i would get a 7850 over the 6950,they clock great and run smooth

Not if you overclock the HD 7850.
